Develop fast-charging and stable Lithium batteries using EQCM-D
The development of a solid electrolyte interface (SEI) is an important parameter that decreases the performance and lifetime of lithium battery. A solid layer builds inside the lithium battery as we start using it. The formation of this solid layer blocks the passage between the electrolyte and electrodes heavily affecting the performance of the battery.

Battery technology is constantly developing and new generations of electrolyte, anode and cathode materials are being developed. EQCM-D has been used particularly for battery materials that undergo changes in viscoelastic properties.
