The Malvern Zetasizer Ultra is the most advanced system for the measurement of particle and molecular size, particle charge and particle concentration. Built on the market-leading Zetasizer Nano range, the new Zetasizer Ultra delivers enhanced speed and ease of use, accelerating sample throughput and freeing up operator time for other tasks.

Alongside the patented Non-Invasive Back-Scatter (NIBS) technology, the Zetasizer Ultra offers Multi-Angle Dynamic Light Scattering (MADLS®) which automates multiple-angle size measurements, providing higher resolution and more complete particle size distributions. MADLS also enables calibration-free particle concentration analysis for a wide range of materials, resolving the individual concentrations of different size populations to provide  even greater insight into your samples.

The new disposable capillary sizing cell provides the ultimate in non-destructive, low volume (3μl) analysis, extending the upper range to 10μm and delivering high-quality data while reducing cost.

The Zetasizer  Ultra is controlled by user-friendly ZS Xplorer software, introducing new sample-centric workflows, which make method design and data analysis more straightforward.  A new algorithm called Adaptive Correlation applies intelligent logic to separate data associated with the presence of dust or aggregates, filtering these from the results to give a more representative overall picture of the sample. This is supported by integrated, deep-learning empowered data quality guidance, offering the user instant feedback on their results and providing actionable advice.

Disposable and reusable cells

A range of cells are available to optimise the measurement in terms of sample volume and concentration, including the new low volume disposable sizing cell kit, which offers the dual benefits of size measurements in as little as 3μL, and extension to the upper size range of DLS measurements.

This new capillary enables contamination-free, high accuracy size, zeta potential and protein mobility measurements in as little as 20 μL of sample. The new capillary shape provides improved repeatability along with enhanced thermal performance.
