Get more out of your QCM-D experiments. Attend our free, half day user-training seminar.

ATA Scientific would like to invite you to attend a special Q-Sense user-training seminar.

Location: Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane

Date: 8-12 April 2018.

This seminar is aimed to provide new and existing users of Q-Sense instruments with the essential skills and to expand knowledge on QCM-D data analysis. It will include both theory and hands-on training. An introduction to the principles of QCM-D technology will be discussed, with tips and tricks on how to generate quality data and maintain your instrument. An introduction to the new DFind software (for modelling and data analysis) will be presented including how to work with Dfind to extract as much information from your raw data, as possible. We will offer a training session where users will get the opportunity to discuss specific experimental set-up and data handling in a group session with our QCM-D specialists from Biolin Scientific.

Sessions:

The seminar will be held in the morning (9am-12pm) at each location. Venues are provided upon registration.

Integrating high resolution particle size and shape with chemical ID using Morphologically-Directed Raman spectroscopy

Particle imaging13-24 May 2019:     Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

Careful control of particle size and shape is extremely important in the development of complex, high value products. The new Morphologi® 4 automated particle characterisation system provides you with the unique capability to accurately measure particles (1 to 1000 µm). When equipped with a Raman microprobe, the Morphologi 4-ID gains the additional ability to chemically identify particles enabling the differentiation between different chemical components within a blend and identification of foreign contaminants.

This seminar event will provide live demonstrations of two key instruments for particle characterisation:
– Morphologi 4-ID (image analysis for particle size, shape and chemical ID) and
– Mastersizer 3000 (latest generation Laser Diffraction particle sizer plus Hydrosight imaging accessory)
Understanding the relative strengths of both technologies is the key to using them appropriately and productively. Laser diffraction (ie, Mastersizer) provides fast, reliable measurement of particle size for a very wide range of sample types. Image analysis (ie. Morphologi 4) provides high resolution particle size and shape information. With the option of adding Raman spectroscopy the Morphologi system is a very powerful tool that can not only give size and shape information but also chemical identification of unknown particulates.

Registration:

Participation is free of charge however it is essential to register. You can register by completing the registration form on our web site or by sending us an email with your details to enquiries@atascientific.com.au   RSVP by 10th May 2019.
