Product Overview

The Cellbox Go is a small, lightweight and portable CO2 incubator ideal for uninterrupted, short & mid-distance transport of sensitive biological materials under optimal conditions. It provides efficient thermal and CO2 stability for worry-free mobility.

Cellbox Go tracks and monitors crucial data to ensure optimal conditions to prevent loss of cell count and viability, altered protein expression patterns or unwanted cell differentiation. Choice of two models:

  • Cellbox Go Ground, provides lab-like incubation conditions during transport – by road, rail or sea.  Includes an integrated rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack and a CO2 conditioning system that relies on disposable CO2 cartridges.
  • Cellbox Go Flight, is a cell shipping CO2 incubator with IATA compliance. It provides lab-like incubation conditions during transport by air. It is completely self-sufficient, with an integrated rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack and a CO2 conditioning system that relies on dry-ice sublimation.

The Cellbox Go prevents losses in cell quality, cell viability and valuable time introduced by freeze-thaw cycles that are a routine part of cryogenic shipping. Data logs of the internal conditions are continuously collected and can easily be exported to a smart device (iOs and Android) with Bluetooth connectivity using our Cellbox Go App.

Specially developed for the transport of sensitive cells and cell cultures, the Cellbox Go is ideal for:

  • iPSC’s and iPSC-derived cells, such as sensory neurons, microglia and cardiomyocytes. Cells can be transported under laboratory conditions, in the Cellbox while avoiding unwanted changes in metabolism, gene expression and protein profiles.
  • Long-term cell storage and biobanks can benefit from receiving fresh material and performing the cryopreservation in-house. Recipients can benefit from the Cellbox by receiving thawed and recovered cells from a biobank, ready-to-use.
  • Lab-on-a-Chip or Tissue-on-a-Chip products can be seeded with living cells before shipping under laboratory conditions in the Cellbox.

Benefits

Efficient cell transport with lab-standard incubation conditions, optimised runtime and worry-free mobility:

• Active Control: Maintains precise temperature (18°C–38°C) and CO₂ levels (0–18%) during transit.

• External Gas Mix Supply: Preconditioning via various gas mixtures for special biological applications (e.g. hypoxia in IVF).

• Long-Lasting Power: Operates up to 12 hours on a rechargeable battery, with CO₂ supplies lasting up to 72 hours.

• Power: Reverse charging functionality in emergency situations and prolong battery runtime if needed by self-executable battery exchange.

• Data Logging: Monitor crucial parameters on the device GUI and log transport and cultivation parameters to ensure, proof & evaluate for optimal transport conditions, – export them via various end user devices through Wi-Fi Connect.
