A lifetime of experience. A new chapter at ATA Scientific.

Professor Barry Slim brings a distinguished (and very long) career to ATA Scientific. With decades of experience behind him and a keen interest in contributing to new challenges, Barry has joined us in an advisory capacity to help shape ideas, spark conversations, and offer a perspective only time can provide.

Often described as engaging, quietly observant, and refreshingly down to earth, Barry prefers to be addressed simply as Barry. He is not particularly fond of “Baz” or “Bazza”, and we respect that.

Barry’s Role at ATA Scientific

Barry’s interests span marketing, life sciences, and the broader scientific landscape—areas where insight, reflection, and curiosity matter just as much as technology itself. While he hails from an era before many of today’s analytical tools, Barry remains keen to engage, learn, and contribute wherever he can.

Life at ATA (So Far)

Since arriving at our new facilities, Barry has been settling in, meeting the team, and reacquainting himself with the modern scientific workplace. He enjoys good company, thoughtful discussion, and the occasional meal shared among colleagues—something he fondly recalls from earlier days. While he may appear quiet at first, Barry is always listening.
