Loading the sample. The unique interface removes the guesswork from the sample loading process. The operator is guided through best practice to achieve rapid and reproducible sample loading - every time.
Live data and feedback Live data during the test process provides user feedback to make decisions on changes to measurement parameters. Instrument functionality can be verified at any time to give total confidence in the data.
Automated presentations Results and data analysis are automatically presented relevant to the chosen application. Continuous data collection provides a complete history of the sample from loading to unloading to ensure that every aspect of the testing can be verified.
The critical hardware systems - motor, gap and normal force and temperature are independently configurable and controllable.
A new motor with adaptive air bearing and high-resolution position sensors provides a wide continuous torque range with exceptional low torque performance.
The adaptive air bearing technology automatically minimises torque bias and data corrections. The motor drive and bearing components are designed for minimal system inertia to provide reliable measurements.

The intelligence that lies at the heart of Kinexus means less time learning how to master the system and more time characterising samples. Test protocols are easily configured based around a measurement, a sample, or an application, to deliver accurate and repeatable results.
The software actively guides the user through setting up the correct system configuration. This process includes selecting the appropriate hardware, test parameters, sample loading, data collection and analysis - providing intelligent feedback at all stages. The software will ensure that the required standards (ASTM, DIN, AASHTO, etc.) are met for routine testing in a QC laboratory through to research.
Kinexus is highly flexible and easy to expand as new applications emerge. The open frame design provides maximum space for integrating accessories. The modular 'plug and play' cartridge system and intelligent communication ports makes switching accessories quick and easy.
