The Emulsiflex C3 is a high pressure homogeniser designed for lab scale production of nano particles and micro emulsions.
The dynamic homogenising valve maintains a constant pressure. This design produces extremely uniform micro emulsions, with narrow nano - particle size distribution. Emulsiflex systems can also be used as extruders using membranes of specific pore size.
Click here to contact usThe homogenising pressure is adjustable between 500 and 30,000 psi. This wide pressure range means that many materials can be processed efficiently in a single pass. This provides the capability of scaling up to an integrated continuous process.
The C3 homogeniser is powered by an electric motor with a constant flow capacity of 3.0L/hr. The flow rate is independent of pressure. Samples as small as 10ml can be processed.
Inlet and outlet temperatures can be controlled by optional heat exchangers.
There are no "O" rings or gaskets in the entire product path, which means little or no cross contamination. A wide range of cleaning agents can be flushed through for quick cleaning. The system is steam in place (SIP) sterilisable, and suitable for clean room and GMP manufacturing.
LAB SCALE, BATCHES 7ml TO 1L
Avestin's C5 lab scale homogeniser rapidly reduces particles and droplets from micron to nanometer sizes. This precision Emulsiflex system is based on the principle of dynamic high pressure homogenisation.
Click here to contact usThe C5 has an air driven pump - providing homogenising pressure up to 30,000 psi (207 MPa). The maximum flow rate is 5L/Hr, with a minimum processing volume of 7ml, and a hold back volume of less than 1ml.
The Emulsiflex C5 can be delivered with a dynamic or static homogenising valve, which can easily be disassembled for cleaning or inspection. Sub micron particles or droplets with diameters less than 50nm and an extremely narrow size distribution can be achieved.
The beauty of the Emulsiflex design lies in its simplicity! No "O" rings. No gaskets. These user friendly homogenisers are simple to clean (clean-in-place, steam-in-place). The homogenising valve parts can readily be removed for inspection.
The Emulsiflex C5 can be equipped with a high pressure filter/extruder. Applications include the extrusion of emulsions or liposomes through membranes and sterile filtration at high pressure.
The EmulsiFlex-B15 cell disruptor is an air powered, French Press style, high pressure Homogeniser. There are no "O"-rings or gaskets in the entire path of the product.
The standard EmulsiFlex-B15 is delivered with a pneumatically controlled, dynamic homogenising valve.
The homogenising pressure is adjustable between 2000 and 45000psi or 140 and 3000bar. The EmulsiFlex-B15 has a capacity of 15mL and it can process a sample as small as 3mL.
The EmulsiFlex-B15 is steam-in-place (SIP) sterilisable and suitable for clean room and GMP manufacturing. The wetted parts are autoclavable.
The EmulsiFlex-B15 requires compressed air or bottled gas. No electrical power is needed.
