Extreme liquid chromatography

Jasco X-LC extreme high pressure HPLC

The Jasco X-LC® extreme high pressure liquid chromatography systems are capable of delivering solvents at pressures up to 15,000 psi. These pressures coupled with very small particle size columns allow the user to achieve chromatographic speed, sensitivity and efficiency far beyond traditional HPLC.

Now you can have both HPLC and X-LC in a single system. Run existing 3 to 5 µm column technology at flow rates up to 5 mL/min at conventional pressures or operate with X-LC columns (particle sizes down to 1.5 µm), with flow rates up to 3.5mL/min at 15,000 psi.

JASCO offers high-pressure gradient and isocratic systems. The instrumentation is modular and compact so you can configure a system to a specific application. You can also combine the X-LC with any Mass Spec system with direct software control.

Key Features

Flexible Modular systems

The New JASCO X-LC system is completely modular so there is no need to purchase an entire system, simply choose the components required. For example, to run with any of the commercial mass spectrometers select a X-LC binary gradient pump with autosampler and column oven.

Rapid response X-LC detectors

Fluorescence Detector

JASCO is the only company with a fluorescence detector capable of handling the narrow peak widths produced by X-LC columns. The 100Hz-sampling rate is essential for working with the very narrow peak widths of only a few seconds.

Multi-wavelength UV detector

Simultaneous peak detection at 4 different wavelengths or 3 wavelengths and a 'ratio' chromatogram. Very narrow peaks are sampled at high speed, all 4 peaks can be recorded at 25 data points/sec. A special X-LC flow cell minimises peak broadening.

Circular Dichroism Chiral Detector

Designed for extreme high-pressure Liquid Chromatography applications this detector is highly selective and sensitive for chiral compounds. The X-LC CD detector provides a high speed sampling rate for CD and UV (50 data points/sec.) with simultaneous output of CD, UV and g-factor signals. A special X-LC flow cell minimises peak broadening.
