Chiral separation has become one of the most important application areas in HPLC. The increasing demand for chiral chromatography in drug, biochemical, natural product analysis and organic synthesis, etc. have resulted in a requirement for better chiral detection technology.
Click here to contact usThe new Jasco CD-995 has been developed as an innovative CD (Circular Dichroism) detector, using CD Spectropolarimeter technology optimised to meet HPLC requirements. The CD-995 detector can simultaneously determine both CD and UV absorption in the same cell for direct determination of optical purity. CD is based on the differential absorption of right and left circularly polarized light due to the existence of a chiral chromaphore and is a much more specific technique than OR (Optical Rotation) or Polarimetry.
Features:
Very high sensitivity.
The FP-2020 fluorescence detector offers unbeatable sensitivity, for example, detection limits of anthracene are as low as 40 femtograms on column. It also covers a wide wavelength range both for excitation and emission from 220 nm to 700 nm (optional to 900 nm) with proven stability.
This versatile detector can be fully controlled through its built-in keypad for stand-alone use with any HPLC system. Ex and EM wavelengths, sensitivity and auto-zero changes can be made during the run. A rapid scan feature allows spectral acquisition for both excitation and emission spectra
Data output can be made to any third party software using a 1V output signal (such as the AKTA Unicorn system). The FP-2020 Fluorescence detector can be integrated with JASCO HPLC systems using ChromNav chromatography data system.
Options include:
Chemiluminescence (CL) detection does not require an excitation light beam, that produces unavoidable light scattering resulting in high background noise. The chemical excitation process enables much simpler instrumentation, greater sensitivity and wider linear dynamic range in comparison with conventional fluorescence detection. These advantages are now acquiring growing interest as a detection principle in liquid chromatography.
The Model CL-925 intelligent chemiluminescence detector is equipped with Jasco's uniquely designed coiled PTFE tube flow cell placed immediately next to a highly sensitive end-on PMT. The flow cell, combined with digital filtering provides the CL-925 with very high S/N ratio. The CL-925 satisfies the need for optimum chemiluminescence detection limits of trace amounts of lipids, nucleotides, nitrogen oxides (NOX) and catecholamines.
Malvern Zetasizer-nano
A new chromatography flow-mode for the Malvern Zetasizer-nano enables it to be also used as a highly sensitive size exclusion chromatography detector. This enhanced capability provides a major new tool for protein and other biomolecular research.
This new capability is available to existing Zetasizer-nano customers.
Simply purchase a flow cell and download a free software upgrade.
Chromatography flow-mode combines dynamic light scattering with size exclusion chromatography in order to perform Absolute Size Exclusion Chromatography. This technique allows protein size to be measured directly without the need for column calibration. Molecular weight standards are no longer required to identify oligomeric species or to determine protein purity.
The flow cell in the Zetasizer is connected after the last detector in a size exclusion chromatography system. The software makes the entire measurement process simple and straightforward. For the majority of protein separations no extra parameters are required. Size is plotted in real time as material is eluted from the column. The molecular weight of each peak is calculated automatically at the end of the measurement.
