Young Scientist Travel Award:Feb/Mar 2012

If you are a young scientist you can win a $700 travel award by entering our memorable quotes competition.

Here are quotes from 10 distinguished people, mostly scientists. All you have to do is to select the three that you think are the most memorable or inspirational for young scientists. List them in order of your preference.

The participant who selects the same three quotes and lists them in the same order as those chosen by our competition panel will receive a A$700 award. If there is not an exact match then the nearest entry will win. There is also a second place award of $300 for the next closest.

These awards are intended to provide financial assistance for you to attend a science related event or meeting, or to further your education (with your organisations permission).

The scheme is open to those aged 30 or younger who work in the fields of the Life or Material or Chemical or Environmental Sciences* in Australian or New Zealand organisations. This includes all PhD candidates in these fields. We can only accept one entry per person.  Winners will be advised via email and their selections posted on Facebook and featured in our next newsletter.

    * As a guide these fields include Biotech, Protein, Pharma, Food, Agriculture, Chemical, Polymer, Ceramics, Particles, Surfaces, Minerals, Soil and Water.
