The J-815 Chiro-optical spectrometer is the latest in the JASCO series of Spectropolarimeters for measuring circular dichroism. The unique design provides greater stability and higher sensitivity than previous models with a wavelength range of 163 nm to 900 nm.
The J-815 offers great flexibility with a wide range of accessories to enable complementary techniques, such as absorbance, fluorescence and thermal melts to be performed simultaneously. This provides the ability to extract as much data as possible from small valuable biological samples.
The J-815 is directly compatible with Bio-Logic stopped-flow - quench flow systems for rapid kinetic analysis down to 0.5msec resolution. Fast, highly efficient mixing with minimal sample volume requirements in two, three or four syringe models.

Complete data acquisition and analysis are performed in a common software program employed by all Jasco instruments. Powerful functions related specifically to CD Spectroscopy are integrated seamlessly into the package. Macros mode allows the recording of complicated experiments so that the measurement mode, temperature and accessory settings can be recalled for fully automated analysis. Extended macros allow data to be processed and printed in custom report formats.
Possible measurement modes:
JASCO has released a new Vibrational Circular Dichroism Spectrometer (VCD) capable of measuring conventional IR absorption spectra along with Vibrational CD spectra.
The model FVS-6000 combines VCD spectra from higher wavenumber regions with IR spectra from the fingerprint region to provide a complete analysis of the chiral structure. The spectrometer is controlled from the Spectra Manager software suite which simultaneously displays IR and VCD spectra in a single window.
Features of the new FVS-6000 CD Spectrometer system include:

| The narrow band mode allows measurements of small peaks at targeted absorption bands with high sensitivity by using optional band filters. | The isolated mount of the IR light source and the thermal control of the photoelastic modulator (PEM) crystal offers long-term baseline stability. |
The MCB-100 is a water circulation bath for cooling/heating of an external device by circulating the precisely temperature controlled water in the bath. The wide temperature control range (10˚C below ambient to 40˚C) coupled with the circulating capability (1L/min, 52 W) assures high performances even with its compact size. It can be used in wide variety of applications, as well as for the constant temperature control of cell parts in the spectrophotometer.
Benefits include:
The operation is very easy and simple. The water circulation starts automatically when the power is on. The MCB-100 has only 3 buttons, such as UP key, DOWN key and SELECT key on the operation panel, allowing anyone to operate intuitively and easily.
The Peltier device is utilised for cooling/heating of circulating water. With its rapid response speed, switch-over of heating/cooling can be done with high speed, allowing more accurate temperature control as compared with general water circulator using a compressor and/or a heater. The MCB-100 has a wide temperature control range from 10˚C below ambient temperature to 40˚C with temperature accuracy of ± 0.5˚C.
The MCB-100 is small 160(W) x 225(D) x 263(H) mm, 5.2 kg and can be placed very close to external devices enabling much shorter tubing and circulation of precisely temperature controlled water.
The MCB-100 has an internal temperature sensor as standard for monitoring the actual temperature of circulating water in the bath. And optional external temperature sensor is also available for monitoring the actual temperature of external device.
The MCB-100 has USB port for connecting with PC, enabling the direct control by PC using optional program package for the Spectra Manager software for JASCO Spectrophotometers.
